Presentation: Make Strategic Philanthropy Part of Your Total Public Relations Program
Doris Rubenstein shows your business how to do well by doing
good through strategic philanthropy.
This presentation will ask the audience a set of questions about how they currently handle public relations activities, particularly sponsorships and cause-marketing.
During the course of the presentation, they will consider many choices and options to answer these questions. I provide no right or wrong answers; only the individual business owner or
PR director will know what is the correct answer for their own particular business. As a result, participants will have the simple fundamentals for policies and procedures to create a strategic corporate citizenship plan to open up new markets for their own businesses and provide “reputation insurance.” The questions are drawn from real-life situations. The choices of answers offered are drawn from best practices surveyed from some of the most respected companies in the U.S.
Also included in the presentation will be data from academia and industry sources relating to business philanthropy and corporate citizenship, and information on resources available to participants to assist them in further development of their programs.
The focus of the new marketing ideas is capitalization of partnerships with nonprofit groups through sponsorships, cause-marketing, and other partnership activities with nonprofit groups to build brand identity and positive corporate images.
